Events at a Dual Meet:
- Medley Relay: Back (1), Breast (2), Fly (3), Free(4)
Bk, Br, Fl, Fr abbreviation - IM (Individual Medley): Fly, Back, Breast, Free
- Free
- Breast
- Fly
- Back
- Free Relay
6 & under and 7 - 8 will swim 1 lap (25 yd) only:
- except for IM (Individual Medley) event (7 - 8 only)
9 - 10, 11 - 12, and 13 - 14 swims 2 laps (50 yd):
- except for IM (Individual Medley)
15 - 18 swims 4 laps (100 yd)
Usually, the home team gets the even lanes; visitor gets odd lanes.
6 & under and 7 - 8 Relay Races, there will be 2 swimmers on opposite side of the pool
- For Medley Relay, the timer end of the pool will have the Back and Fly swimmers; the other end has the breast and free
